Enhancements -  Added Features !!

A number of scarce NOS, (New Old Stock), parts have been added in past years to this Classic 1967 Volkswagen Bug, along with an occasional part I may find at a Volkswagen swap meet, to make the car even nicer.

Added items include "period style wheels," bumper stiffeners, a bud vase, and a rarely seen "day/night" rear view mirror. The steering wheel was "re-manufactured" by Koch, a re-maker of note in the classic VW Bug after market arena.

The engine is "solid chrome," including the dual spout air cleaner. This was done to make it look as nice as the rest of the car. It doesn't have to be; you can revert to "basic black" if you desire. <g>

The trunk area is immaculate and done in original black. The wiring, and exposed inside of the instrument panel, is blocked from view by a custom fitted fiber cover. A new spare tire, still with original tags, is in front, along with the original tool kit.

A very hard to find "ALL TRANSISTOR by Bendix," a SAPPHIRE VI Model AM/FM radio, replaces the commonly found AM-only radio. Keep in mind that in 1967, FM radio stations were few and far between. An original AM/FM radio in a vintage bug are a rarity.  Cheap junk, stuffed in a hacked out hole in the dash, do NOT count. This is definitely NOT a "teenagers" car. <g>

The "looks" of the front/rear bumpers were greatly improved to make the car even more of a "head turner" at classic car shows.  On occasion, I've gotton "wows" from guys in a long line of Bugs waiting for a show to open when they got a look at my bumpers! The "extra niceness" was achieved by carefully "hand fitting" selected and exactly matching bumper components, from a LARGE pile, to eliminate the need for UGLY rubber or plastic gaskets between mating surfaces. After the selection of well fitting parts was complete, and prior to final assembly, the bumpers were triple-chrome plated and carefully polished. Two of the photos show bumper detail. These are NOT your "J.C. Whitney" type bumpers!

The CA license plate on this Classic Volkswagen Bug says:  WOW 67  What more can I say?
